Job summary 


Tecna UK is looking for a Sales Manager to join their active Sales team. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious and confident self-starter to join a growing company.


With support from the Sales team, Sales Director, and Projects team, you will be responsible for meeting with customers, helping to interpret, develop, and add value to incoming sales leads and then managing these through to a proposal, and subsequent sign off.


Tecna UK works worldwide designing and installing stunning displays within the event, exhibition, and retail sectors.  Through our design, build and deliver services we provide a comprehensive solution to support the needs of our clients.

Primary Objectives:

  • Convert leads into sales
  • Build lasting customer relationships
  • Understand and explain the range of products and services offered by Tecna UK
  • Offer expert industry advice to our customers
  • Listen to customer requirements and support them in achieving their goals
  • Secure repeat business from existing customers 
  • Add an element of creativity and design, working collaboratively with the wider team to elevate customer projects

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that leads, opportunities, and post sales customers are followed up in a timely manner
  • Organise meetings with customers, over the phone and in person, to maximise sales
  • Interpret briefs in a way that can be clearly communicated to the Projects team
  • Keep the company CRM system up to date
  • Maintain and develop positive business relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets
  • Supply management with feedback on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services

Skills Required:

  • Have a good understanding of the exhibition industry
  • Proven work experience in a sales role & a proven track record in sales
  • Commercially minded & sales focused
  • Excellent knowledge of office suite & standard CRM practices
  • Great time management & ability to prioritise
  • Ability to think on your feet & problem solve
  • Excellent administration & organisational skills with an eye for detail
  • Excellent communication & people skills
  • Team player
  • A background in design and/ or project management is a bonus
